Ringbearer Samuel

Samuel attends his parents' wedding.

Friday, July 29, 2011

On the Friday before the wedding he heads up to the Barn, near Wakefield. While adults are busy setting up for the wedding, Samuel naps upstairs in the Barn. When he wakes up, Karine waves to him from below.

On the wedding day, he greets his Aunt Cathy in the early afternoon, looking very cool in his diaper. After a nap, he is dresses up for his role as ringbearer. Luckily he likes sitting a wagon, so he travels along with his aunts Natasha and Natalie and his cousin Kayla. At the critical moment, he runs to his parents holding a little navy bag with the rings. He is back in the wagon for the processional after the wedding. What a star!

Samuel joins his parents for dinner, then drifts off to sleep in the Honeymoon suite.

For the Sunday breakfast, Samuel enjoys breakfast with the wedding guests who slept over in the Barn , who stayed in their campers and who camped in tents.

Samuel spends the day at 9 Lambert Dr.

Monday, July 25, 2011

This is the first time we had Samuel all to ourselves for a day. Karine was at work and Kirk was helping a disabled co-worker build some safer steps at her home near Almonte.

He happily played in the kitchen while Grandpa bagged some freshly frozen handpicked raspberries.

Then we headed over to the park on Banner Rd. First he enjoyed a swing. Then he quickly joined a group of three little boys at a small play structure.

He discovered the joy of jumping in puddles. Wet feet and sandals just made it more fun.

Back home to check out some muffins his grandparents were baking for the upcoming wedding breakfast.

He tried out our backyard slide. Then he enjoyed supper on the deck with parents. He met Jenny Craddock who delivered a card for the bride and groom.

Later we all hiked to the Banner Rd. Park so he could show off his play skills. A busy day!
