Grey Cup day visit

Sunday, November 27 2011

Karine was working and Kirk had some shopping to do, so Samuel came over for lunch and a nap.

Later, Kirk returned and Karine joined us for dinner.  Samuel really enjoyed a yellow inflated ball from the Dollar Store, and, of course, he practiced playing piano too.

We went for a walk in the neighbourhood before the big game.  Samuel brought the ball and enjoyed throwing and kicking it.  He walked some, got pulled in the old wagon, and rode on Karine's shoulders.

Before the game started they looked at the wedding albums and framed photos.  We all watched most of the first half of the football classic, but, all too soon, it was time to get baby boy home to his bed.

Remembrance Day visit at Samuel’s

November 11, 2011

We were invited to visit Samuel and stay for supper.  When we arrived, we all wanted to go for a hike over to Cowden Road.  We parked at P16 and took the grassy trail over to Cowden, as soon as Samuel had a change in the back of the van.
Grant pulled him in the wagon, but he tumbled off when the wagon hit a bump.  After that, he mostly walked on his own, or pushed the wagon from behind.  We went as far as the bridge over Meech Creek, noting that the NCC has now demolished all of the remaining houses that were on Cowden. Samuel kept busy loking for a stick, un baton" for Boots to chew.

When we returned to Samuel’s house, Barbara opened some Play Doh for him to play with.  Then we had a wonderful beef stew that Karine had prepared in the slow cooker.

Samuel’s Saturday visit

November 5, 2011

Karine was in Halifax for a course and Kirk had some work to do on the stairs in his house.  So he brought Samuel over at 9am to spend the day. We had a great time together.

Uncle Grant entertained him with his garage and bus. He also enjoyed a couple of apples and playing the piano.

He hopped in his wagon for a visit to see Mary Anne on her birthday. One little boy and three adults at the Space Park on a beautiful day. Samuel enjoyed trying out the equipment, although he was little shy when he found another boy his age.

After lunch, he had a long nap over 3 hours, then it was time to go home. He and Grandpa sat on the stairs to put their shoes/boots on.
Kirk continued to work, just stopping for supper, while Samuel had dinner and played with his toys. We tucked a tired boy in before we left.
